Manager, Manufacturing Software Systems

Position Summary

We are looking for a Manager of Manufacturing Software Systems who is an energetic, detail-oriented, and curious professional willing to explore a wide variety of opportunities across business functions and lead our efforts to utilize software systems to advance productivity and innovation. This individual is a self-starter who can work effectively with team members across diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. This individual will not only coordinate the maintenance of existing systems, but also recommend software, systems, and technology-based projects to senior management that support system stability, reduce operational risk, improve utilization, optimize processes, and attract customers.

Specific Responsibilities:

Service Management

  • Oversee critical systems including Infor’s Syteline/CloudSuite Industrial ERP and custom systems
  • Identify ERP capabilities not currently used to support the strategic goals of the company
  • Interact and manage the relationships with custom and third-party software providers
  • Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and suitable security measures to ensure high availability, prevent downtime, and loss of data
  • Identify and implement systems to support necessary compliance efforts dictated by customer relationships

Project Management

  • Use technical knowledge and communication skills necessary to assess feasibility of technical projects, develop and facilitate requirements by working with others on the team
  • Lead projects as assigned, including defining scope, scheduling resources, developing project plans, managing risks, and tracking decision making processes to resolution.
  • Learn how best to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project momentum and execute plans effectively
  • Escalate issues with recommended solutions as and when necessary

Continuous Improvement

  • Capture, prioritize, and manage development efforts of custom software systems that integrate with Infor’s Syteline/CloudSuite Industrial ERP platform
  • Identify and coordinate efforts supporting end user training, new system rollout, and enhanced integration between systems and automation of business processes
  • Guidance in the use of systems supporting business intelligence gathering and analysis efforts

Required Experience:

Three or more years of demonstrated experience:

  • In a manufacturing environment
  • Managing and using the Infor’s Syteline/CloudSuite Industrial ERP platform as a subject matter expert on this system
  • Managing teams, projects, and initiatives within organizations having 100 or more employees
  • Ability to take complex topics and communicate those with others according to the listen’s level of expertise
  • Relational database systems – in particular, those using SQL
  • Reporting software
  • Business intelligence platforms
  • Familiarity with software development techniques, RESTful API use, and coding practices
  • Use of task/project management tools such as JIRA

Bonus Attributes:

  • Exposure to and experience applying lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Power Platform (Automate and BI), SSRS, Crystal Reports, or similar reporting platform
  • .NET, C#, and front-end, web-based application development experience

Full-Time

$80,000-$110,000 per year
