Opening our Louisville, CO Facility
This past September, our team opened its second location in the Colorado Technology Center in Louisville, Colorado. Despite it being the middle of a pandemic, we knew that opening this new facility was critical for our growth, success, and overall ability to best serve our customers.
Firstly, this 7,000 square-foot facility allows us to dedicate four times the space, compared to when we housed it at our headquarters in Boulder, to complex assembly operations and inventory management services.
Secondly, taking up residence in this hub of engineering and product innovation will better position our team to serve our customers and stay in step with the market.
Expanding our Manufacturing Solutions
At the heart of this expansion was the desire to offer our customers an all-in-one manufacturing solution. The result was our complex assembly and inventory management services.
Complex Assembly at Hirsh Precision
We’ve offered complex assembly services at Hirsh Precision for nearly 10 years, and with this expansion into Louisville we’re more prepared than ever to oversee our customers’ assembly work.
Our team began offering complex assembly services when we realized that many of our customers were diverting efforts away from their business to manage it themselves.
We value our customers and the work they do, so over the years we’ve created a solution that allows our team to:
- Handle your mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly
- Source component parts through vendors and suppliers on your behalf
- Track the production, assembly, and shipping of your products utilizing our ERP platform and proprietary Shop Floor Management software
- Manage the supply chain for your manufactured and assembled products from beginning to end
With these complex assembly services – which include complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, as well as box building – our customers can dedicate their resources, time and personnel to what matters most to their business.
Inventory Management at Hirsh Precision
When our team developed the inventory management solution you see today, the goal was to eliminate one of the most unavoidable challenges associated with manufacturing: lead-time.
We’ve developed a process that incorporates inventory data, part forecasting, EDI integrations, and a seamless quoting system that lets our team handle the inventory process for our customers. We oversee the part’s production schedule, ship parts from our inventory when needed, and can generate suggested reorder dates and quantities.
This inventory management solution provides several key benefits, including:
- Reduced inventory costs
- Shortened lead-times
- Regular alerts from our team when your on-hand inventory reaches a reorder point
- Available inventory at the drop of a hat
With our efficient, cost-effective inventory management services, our customers never have to go without parts, they can avoid lead-times, and deliver their own end-product or service to their own customer base with the shortest turnaround time possible.
